Where are Oliver Stone’s “Stones”?

I was as surprised as many viewers that a left-leaning activist like Oliver Stone presented such a level of compassion in W.

Sure, George W. Bush’s foibles and idiotic approach are there for all to see. But his level of commitment and conviction weigh a bit more in the film, according to my eyes. Make no mistake, of course, that Josh Brolin’s performance has a lot to do with that.

Stone claims to have chosen the careful path of accuracy, if you hear him right in interviews. Who wants him to be accurate?! But if the film does have its truths, did Powell really tell Cheney to fuck himself? Heh, cool.

I got a chance to talk about W. this morning on Dave FM in Atlanta.
