Warner to Push for Heath Ledger Oscar

But that’s not the whole story

Yes, Warner is pushing for Heath Ledger to win Best Supporting Actor… along with four other guys who appeared in The Dark Knightsee the FYC page here.

Diplomatic immunity

Pulling a page from Arjen Rudd’s playbook, Mary-Kate Olsen has asked for “immunity” before she permits federal investigators to question her about how Heath Ledger got two powerful painkillers that contributed to his accidental overdose death.

Rumors and innuendo aren’t our cup of tea here, but this is too strange to ignore. Especially when you couple Olsen’s protective reaction with the already mysterious fact that, as the AP reports, the masseuse who discovered Ledger’s body “spent nine minutes making three calls to Olsen before dialing 911 for help, then called the actress a fourth time after paramedics arrived.”

Why? And does Olsen deserve immunity? And if she receives it, should Danny Glover revoke it?

Too bad for Olsen this happened in New York. If it were Los Angeles, she’d be staring at 7 minutes of jail time and a stern talking to. But in Manhattan, she might actually pay for any alleged crime.

This story isn’t going away any time soon.

Baddest of the Bad

According to Moviefone editors, Ralph Fiennes’ Lord Voldemort is “the best movie villain of all time.”

Heath Ledger’s The Joker landed in fifth place. Even though very few people have seen his performance. Imagine where it will be on the list once The Dark Knight actually  opens …
