Smoking Clones
I thought the most interesting thing about The Clone Wars was going to be finding out how they find more story to fit in between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, a time period already pretty well covered by the first Clone Wars television series that aired on the Cartoon Network. The film, coming out next week (along with my review on the mothership) is a lead-in to an upcoming TV series, also called, um, The Clone Wars.
It’s also a little interesting that, for the first time, we won’t be seeing the Fox logo before a Star Wars film.
But my favorite new detail about the film is that one of the reasons for the PG rating is, according to the ratings board disclaimer, “momentary smoking.”
This raises a variety of questions, not the least of which is, would they have gotten a PG-13 rating for “prolonged smoking.” You know, if Yoda finished that menthol? And what would they have to smoke to get an R? Oh, right.
