Um, About The Dark Knight…
Is anyone besides me brave enough to admit that they couldn’t quite follow who was doing what to whom in The Dark Knight? As Sean O’Connell said in his review, “Double-crosses can disrupt the narrative flow, creating confusion in Nolan’s elaborate screenplay.” That’s for sure. My friend and I tried to talk it out on the walk home in a sort of A->B->C->D format but kinda gave up.

It was much better than Cats. I’m going to see it again and again.

Here’s what I figured out. The Joker has an endless supply of weapons, and can conjure a diabolical plan at the drop of a hat.
A friend also suggested to me that he believed the ferry detonators actually were wired to the same boat, and not the other people’s boat. So, for instance, if the citizens pushed the button and tried to detonate the convicts, they’d have blown themselves up.
Nolan probably didn’t think that far in advance, but that would have been a cool ending to that scene.

A couple of weeks later I had confused the endings that Joker and Two-Face met. I thought I was an idiot. Or maybe just tired.

Just got back from watching it and I must admit got a bit lost on who was after who.
I love how they jumped from scene to scene in a matter of minutes. It’s like there was about 3 movies going on at the same time….I suppose it is a comic book, so you can jump around and follow the action… Good movie… Still could have been darker…
